Amanda Coolley Van Cooll was the second Pinoy Sole survivor in the second season of survivor Philippines Palau announced Friday night at November 13, 2009. Amanda Got 4 votes over 3 votes against justine Ferer. Things Got so emotional after Poalo bediones announced the her name as the Pinay Sole Survivor.

Congratulations Amanda! You Deserved to be the Pinoy Sole Survivor of the Second Season Survivor Philippines Palau. I knew it!!! God Bless YOU!

Seems like everyone these days wants to be a chef. What made you decide to be one?
Well, I’ve always loved to cook and experiment with food but I never planned on being a chef. My parents knew that I loved cooking. My dad has a restaurant in Palawan, La Sirenetta. It was built for me when I finished college in the University of Hawaii. I know it seems as though it was all just served on a platter, but let me tell you this, anyone who is willing and brave enough to run my place for a day is more than welcome to take over! Ha ha ha! The word “work” is so underrated when it comes to running restaurants.

We hear you’ll be moving to Italy for further studies?
Yes, I’ll be training and working in Positano, on the Amalfi coast in Italy. I want to expand on seafood dishes since that’s what we have in abundance in Palawan. But, of course, you can’t come to Italy and leave not knowing how to make a perfect pizza!

Do we get a discount the next time we drop by your restaurant?
Apart from mine in Palawan, my mom has three restaurants in Boracay. You can choose from Cafe Del Mar, Mama’s Fish House, and Wahine. As far as the discount, I’ll put in some good words for you guys, ha ha ha!

Ever used your knowledge of food in the art of the bedchamber?
As far as I can remember I’ve only used strawberries and whipped cream. It’s kind of old-fashioned, ha ha ha
